And raw as well (though not in large quantities but I always nosh on a slice of raw potato when I'm making them).

I could live on potatoes and cheese, in just about any combination, and cooked just about any way possible.

and I don't think there is a bad way to fix them either.

in a Spanish tortilla, a great wonderful cheese/egg/potato thingy

14. I still haven't got the hang of good gravy...sooooo...
I just use enough butter, milk, and seasonings that gravy becomes...well...gravy. You know, nice, but not necessary.

20. I'm a gravy expert, I have it down to a science.
Add equal amounts of butter and flour to a teflon skillet (if it's too dry and doesn't collapse on itself you'll get lumps), cook for about 5 minutes. Add liquid (usually broth and milk) in one shot while off the heat, whisk briskly for about 15 seconds (if you don't use a whisk it'll lump up). Turn to low and let simmer until it's thick enough. Add more seasoning. It comes out perfect every time. :P

I voted for potato salad, German potato salad to be precise. My mother's German potato salad to be even more precise.
I'll eat potatoes, but I'm not big on them as much as many people are.

but my favorite is boiled...drizzled in melted butter and topped with toasted bread crumbs. MMMMMMMMMMM.

Second best is hash browns made fresh (not those frozen potato bricks) from raw potatoes.

Hash browns run a close second.

And thank you for distinguishing between hash browsn and home fries. One of the worst culinary shocks of my life was walking into a restaurant in a certain part of the country, ordering hash browns, and getting home fries. "What's the difference?" I was asked when I noted I had not received what I ordered.

Sheesh.
