my car, which has 102,000+ miles on it, just overheated today. i'm in the middle of moving into a new place and the damn thing overheated with a load of stuff in it. helldamncrap!!!!!!

thankfully, i have AAA and they towed it to a garage where my cousin is a mechanic. i was supposed to get my cats back today, but now i have to leave them for at least two more days. :cry:

my ex- is supposed to be taking care of them, but i'm calling the neighbors to go check on them. i miss them so much. dammit my luck just sucks lately. :(

it's been leaking fluid, and the same thing happened to it a month ago. supposedly it was fixed last time :eyes:

i trust my cousin though. he and his fiancee visited me in the psych ward-- which is more than i can say for my ex-. i really hope i don't need a new car-- i'm paying rent/mortgage on two homes and spending $50/week in gas. i can't afford much more right now.

it's been so long since i've had them, i hope they can still remember me.

i raised them from 8 weeks old. i used to work from my house back then, and they would sit on my desk, on a washcloth, underneath my reading light, and nap away the afternoon. they were so tiny and so cute!

they're the closest thing i'll ever have to children, and it's been very very hard over the last couple months, with the divorce, nervous breakdown, etc. i just want to get on with my life.

If the block is cracked you won't have any other choice but to get another car. Maybe your cousin would know of some good cars out there. Some mechanics will buy cars, fix 'em up and sell them on their own. I'd say your odds of getting something decent for a fair price would be fairly good that way.

I know about overheating engines. My 3.8 liter Ford has bad head gaskets. But that's common for that engine. Your cousin would know what models to stay away from.

it's been in the 90s here with a heat index around 100° for the past several days-- and this is freaking minnesota! and i have no air conditioning! and it's not even august yet.

i should just quit complaining. i have much more to be thankful for than sorry for. i'm alive. i (mostly) have my health. i will soon be rid of my ex- for good. and my new place is totally bitchin' :)

22. update on my car

i just talked to my cousin, and he said that it's probably not a cracked block or a head gasket problem (whew!). it's probably just some sort of leak in the coolant system, which is what it was the last time this happened in June.

hopefully he can get it fixed tomorrow and i can get the car back thursday. he also volunteered his truck and trailer for monday, so i can finally get some furniture from my house.

i will be moving in the cat boys tomorrow, it looks like, if all goes right. let's just hope i can install the air conditioner proper-like-- looks like another day in the 90s tomorrow!
