some more rainforest wildlife photos

these aren't the greatest photos i've ever taken but i thought i'd share them with you all anyways. the snake is an eyelash viper, a small arboreal pitviper. the lizard is a very large anole (about a foot long)...it's in the same genus as the little green lizards you can buy at the petstores and they're always incorrectly labeled as chameleons. the frog (which somehow throws off the autofocus on my digital rebel) is a poison dart frog (Dendrobates pumillio is the genus and species of this particular guy).

these were all taken at braulio carrillo national park today. the anole was walking along the fence near the entrance.

i saw some great birds there today including both species of oropendolas native to costa rica (together in a flock) and several aracaris (toucan relatives).

no tapirs today. :(
