6. Lucy doesn't eat tuna.
She will eat flour tortilla pieces. She won't touch canned cat food.

And the ONLY treats she will eat are "Catty Shack," and the only place that I've seen them is Wal-Mart. So my cat makes me go to Wal-Mart - it's not by choice.

21. my cats actually do get them VERY occasionally....
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 08:19 PM by mike_c
Usually abetted by the sliding glass door, I'm afraid. But once I watched one of them, an 18 pounder who is really too big to be graceful-- he's a klutz, to put it mildly-- actually jump up and intercept one that was flying low. Just like a dog catching a frisbee. He came down with it in his mouth, looking even more surprised than I did, I think. I praised him profusely-- he's no general threat to any birds, but he'll probably remember that moment for the rest of his life....

on edit-- I should hasten to add that my cats don't usually hunt birds-- I live in a rural setting and the rodent pickings are easy enough to keep their attention.

Coco (aka the dock whore cat) only likes the finer things in life...she is a steak freak, but only the best cuts, porterhouse or t-bone, medium rare (thank you very much) and only the first three bites, not too hot, not too cold. And don't think about giving her cheap sirloin. She does know the difference.

14. Little dried shrimp I get at an Asian market.
I used to pay huge amounts of money for them at a pet store, but I discovered they sell the same exact thing in the International District for less than a buck.

He's also fiercely dedicated to stamping out string wherever he sees it.

17. We live on a boat...Every morning I throw out yesterday's
cat food to the fish outside of my sliding door. And they (mostly snapper) gobble it up like there is no tomorrow. But sometimes I throw in our leftovers from the night before and they can be as picky as our cats. Chicken, yes. Beef...maybe. Pork...forget it. And they are all over shrimp but not that crazy for fish. Go figure.

20. Smoked pig ears.
I buy the hartz brand for about 10 bucks/12 ears. They just love to gnaw on a good pig ear. (I have six dogs so for 5 bucks I can please the whole pack)

he also licks the lids to frozen yogurt or ice cream containers, and lick my bowl. He also like salad greens and tomato sauce.

Noah likes poultry. He doesn't like ALL people food. Only meat.

29. In cat treats, they love any flavor of Pounce Tartar Control treats
In human food, they love bread of any sort, cookies and chicken. Simba screams for chicken tikka, but it's way too spicy for his sensitive tummy, so I have to deny him. They also LOVE milk. So far Morrissey seems fairly immune to people food; at least he doesn't freak out like Monty and Simba do.
