What's your pet's favorite threat? |
|
My parrot HATES anything that's dark brown. Brown boxes = terror. Wearing brown = terror. Even from 20 feet away the poor thing will go bonkers if it sees the color.
The parrot also hates bright day-glo yellow, orange, and pink for some reason.

8. One of my sister's dogs is afraid of stairs too |
|
He just refuses to go up them, and has to be carried up, and it's not fun, because he isn't a light weight.

11. I guess I'm glad it's not just my dog |
|
Ours is pretty hefty too--a lab. When we say the word "stairs" he hides in a corner. He's a freak.

4. Your parrot must have been traumatized by something brown! |
|
Maybe a UPS man?
My kitty is terrified of the outdoors. She'll only go about 1 foot from the door, and then turn around in panic.

5. Oh, god, what isn't? The pizza man knocking. The cat deterrents |
|
going off (motion sensors hooked up to compressed air - WHAT AN INVENTION!). The rip of velcro.
Another cat hissing.
A fly taking off from the wall! That sets off a true cat bomb, because they all scatter, then half of them come back to chase it.
HT - lord bless you, I hope you never bring your groceries home in paper. All those rattly brown bags....

6. Our favorite cat who went to kitty heaven in January after 13 years |
|
was scared to death of plastic grocery bags after having wrapped one around his foot one time. My funniest memory is watching him run around the house with the bag hooked up to his foot and inflating bigger and bigger with each running step...like a huge parachute following him and getter bigger the faster he tried to run away from it.
And scorpions. He was stung by a scorpion as a kitty and we always knew when a scorpion was in the house because he would flatten himself to the ground and slither under the bed.

The cats go running when I take it out of the closet.
They don't like my lightsaber either. :)

windows. Anything that lead out of the house. My son rescued her off the back porch, and she'd never go near an egress after.
