Beer company order's halt to "Miller Time" campaign
More strong-arming from the world of business.

WATERLOO - It may have been "Miller time" Tuesday, but times --- and campaign slogans --- change.

Don't expect Doug Miller, who finished atop the voting in Tuesday's mayoral election, to use the beer company slogan in the run-up to his Dec. 2 runoff election showdown with Tim Hurley.

Miller Brewing Co., which has a federal trademark on the phrase "It's Miller Time," has ordered Miller to quit using the slogan in his campaign advertising.

1. Is this Doug Miller selling beer?
No. Why would Miller Beer not want free advertising?
