So, the age old question.. Why are girls attracted to asses?

Just asking.. Cuz it seems everytime I find someone that shares the same interests / is cute / is awesome... Theres one of those guys that "plays the part" and I end up empty handed.. By plays the part, I mean that hes just full of himself. Needs to be the center of attention. I guess just the way i see * acting. Meanwhile I'm pretty much the opposite. I don't have problems approaching a girl I like, I just don't act like I'm the center of the world.

Anyways, just sucks. Sorry for the rant. Anyone here have the same problem?

Of course, I don't know anything about you or what girls you like. But before you complain about they type of guys that women are attracted to, maybe you need to think about the type of girls you are attracted to.

in other cases, or overlapping with that people may not be ready for a 'long term' relationship, so they enter relationships they KNOW wont work, and put their hearts into em to keep em going. so while it may be 'long term' while speaking of time... in their heads they are just using it as an excuse to keep themselves from finding a permenant companion.

men, women... they both do it... its a matter of how much its noticed, and in what ways it is eventuially noticed. men notice girls stay with asses. and girls notice that most of the guys they have dated treat them bad (and sometimes still stay with them, out of one fear or another). and (in general) neither party in a relationship thinks that they are mistreating the other until something results of it, i.e. Breakup, ect.

Lots of people like similar things and while that's great in a friend, most people prefer to be attracted to the people they date.

You're new so you've probably missed a lot of discussion we've had on this topic. But I think it needs to be stated. Women are allowed to date people to whom they are attracted ; they do not have to date every "nice" guy they meet.

But I would say that your conscious recognition of this fact is good news. Now start to objectively ask yourself what it is that attracts you to these men, and then what clues you might use to improve your odds in finding a swell guy.

Simple... that's pretty general, and that's blaming women for you not having success with women... or at least those particular women.

I have met a lot of women who are attracted to asses, I have met a lot of men who are attracted to asses... women have broken up with me so that they could go out with an "ass"... but I have never once blamed women for that and said something so general as "Why are girls attracted to asses?"

Why not... Why are SOME girls (women) attracted to asses? Why generalize?

I would not consider my friends to be asses, and some of them have gfs / fiancees / wives. However, it is my experience that there is slim pickins in the "not attracted to asses" category.

I think you might be sincere, so, I understand how you feel about your experience being that of women going for assholes. I've been in a number of relationships where I've been "traded" for some asshole... In fact, every failed relationship I've had... I've been traded for some asshole (or at least, that's how I've seen it, and sometimes, even had the satisfaction of my ex admitting that)... So... definitely, I get where you might think that women go for assholes.

The difference is that I recognize what MY pattern is in all that. That I was attracted to the same type of person over and over. Once I recognized that, I was able to see past the "what's wrong with them" aspect of it, and find that I was attracted to an entirely different type of person.

Voila... there's nothing wrong with them, and there's nothing wrong with me... but there are many women who aren't compatible with me... and that's ok, because I have one person who is.

Got a friend who was (is) a real spotlight grabber. Fun to be around, and to be fair he does make an effort to drag others, such as me, in from time to time. (I'm pretty introverted in ways.)

Anyway, over the years I had a number of crushes who fell for him. I was often effectively invisible. This bothered me until I took an inventory, and realized each crush I lost to him was one which, in the end, I'm glad to have missed out on. They were all a mess of one sort or another. Addicted to danger, or highly over-dependant, their relations with my friend ended very poorly, and not ALL due to my friends own issues.

In the process, I've found the kinds of women I really like being with are those who aren't impressed by spotlight grabbers. Married one, in fact. Very independant, self reliant. Someone who can be my partner, not my minion.

And I realized those ladies were around all the while. I was staring at the figures in the spotlight myself.

we had our house on the market for a LONG time. Literally hundreds of people looked at it--but they didn't buy.

My father never let it bother him--he always said--all it takes is ONE.

And he was right--one day a couple came along--loved the house--and the deal was closed in a matter of weeks.

I look at dating the same way. There are plenty of people who are not interested in me--they may want someone taller, or richer or more popular or whatever. I don't beat myself up over the many women who are looking for something else. Whenever I am looking-and there is someone who is not interested in me--so what? There are plenty of great people out there. I remember the wise words of my father--all it takes is ONE.

All I need is to have one person who accepts me for who I am and cares about me, and who wants me to be happy as much as I want her to be happy. When you are not someone's cup of tea--move on. Give someone else a try--eventually you will find someone who appreciates you.
