OK kids...my wife wants me to get an EAR piercing...I'm 56.. and
I am kind of in the legal business...

I am not adversed to piercings...I actually have 4...but the one she wants me to have will make it so apparent. Kind of like this..

but more in the stud diamond nice stuff...

I guess my question is this...would you or your SO ever have a piercing or maybe a tattoo if it might "out you"?

My older piercings are very (hmmm...discrete) but if I had a tongue, or even ear piercing, I might have a problem with work...

Anybody else want to chime in?

1. Buy an extra ear and punch it full of holes

and plaster it to your head somewhere.

She didn't specifically say it had to be one of your natural ears, did she ?

But we just might do a boy/girl husband/wife thing.

She gets one, and so do I.

But she thinks that getting pierced in the mall is OK, while I maintain that sterile with autoclave is how it should be.

4. No piercings or tatoos
Just say no. Especially if it might cause conflict at work. I don't understand people's desire to pierce or mark themselves.

5. The reason may not be apparent.
I would do it out of love, in this case.

Plus, in the past it's a little more complicated.

It has somethhing about reclaining your body. Perhaps very mixed up and too late in the morning to explain.

More if you like...............

7. Just do it!
My mom and I have been trying to get my Dad to pierce one of his ears. We got him to grow a ponytail, eventually. And he liked it. He's a vice president at British Petroleum. But he just won't do the piercing thang.

I say "Fuck conventionality! Ya got one life! Gonna enjoy it, have a little fun? Or let a bunch of humorless assholes live your life for you?"

Of course the question that begs to be answered is where your current piercings are actually located....

Khash.
