The FBI has finally determined my wife is not a terrorist or a spy!

After nearly a four year wait - we got married in November of 2001 - we finally got notice that my wife (born overseas) has cleared her FBI background check! This process normally takes less than a year, but took almost 4 for her... in the meantime, we have filed numerous appeals with INS (now called the USCIS), FOIA requests with INS & the FBI, had two Congressmen making inquiries on her behalf, as well as our Senator. We even started a law suit against the INS a few months ago.

Mohammed Atta can get a Visa extension after his death, yet it took my wife nearly 4 years to get her name cleared!

The long nightmare is almost over.

With so much defense contracting (Pratt Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky)& tech manufacturing (Carrier, Otis, GE, Stanley)here in CT, you often need at least a green card to get a job there.

And, for the first time ever last year, I got letters of inquiry from the Internal Revenue Service. Of course, last year was also the first time I donated to politicians & political causes, too!
