Need a list of movies with the rousing-speech-on-horseback cliche
Y'know, before leading a ridiculous hoard of men into battle. So far, I've got:

Alexander
Braveheart
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

1. Kingdom of Heaven was good like that.
It should be out on DVD in a month or two.

5. The pseudo-accurate historical epic "Gettysburg"
Featuring Martin Sheen on horseback giving a rallying speech to the disheartened Confederates right before he leads them to be slaughtered.

Plus, the movie has quite possibly the worst fake beards ever.

8. The 'reimagining' of "The Killer Angels"
...and yes, the beards looked like leftovers from Woody Allen's "Bananas".

11. Challenged only by the worst Southern accents ever.
Tom Beringer did a creditable Tennessee accent for "Platoon", but his accent in "Gettysburg" was simply awful!

And Martin Sheen... :eyes: ...I love the man, and he's an incredible actor, but I cringed for him when I saw him as Robert E. Lee.

Did Lee actually call Traveller 'sir'? Not in the movie, I mean in real life. Anybody know?

12. I think Bluto's speech was more inspiring.
Bluto's right!

No wonder he became Senator.
