I would DEARLY appreciate some feedback from ya'all :hi:

It is not surprising, given the abysmal state of K-12 science education in this country, that there is a systematic failure of the public, including our President, to have even a remotely accurate comprehension of what the theory of evolution really explains. The President and others critical of evolution fail to recognize that evolution is not origin specific; it is only a mechanism to describe how the gradual change of organisms through natural selection can accumulate to large differences resulting in new species. The overwhelming scientific evidence to support evolution- massive fossil record, molecular genetic analysis, and laboratory evidence, is being replaced by pseudo-science and myths that belong not in a classroom but in the church or other classes that are not academic science classes.


As an aspiring science educator, I am deeply concerned about the state of science education and how our President is taking a wholly ignorant stand on this critical issue for education. America is becoming a country where future generations of scientists are being reared in an academic environment where the microscope is being crushed by the Bible. How are we to be world leaders of technology and medicine in these conditions?
