Excuse me, good sir, would you like to purchase some crack? |
|
Why no, no thank you, I work for CVS.

So what is about employers these days having a sheet in their employment handbook that you have to sign stating that you acknowledge that you represent the professionalism of said employer, even while off the clock, and should you be seen or reported doing things unbecoming of an employee of said employer you may by punished or fired.
No, I don't work at CVS, it's just an example.
Where the hell do these people get off telling me what to do when I get home from work?

and I blame weak unions, an oligarchic system, and the lilly-liveredness at a disgusting population that will go along with the program.
I for one never have and never will give up bodily fluids or hair or any other part of me to get a job.
Nor will I allow a credit bureau report to be run on me for a job. That too, is private.
And don't even THINK you can tell me what to do outside the office, unless you are willing to offer me pay and benefits at the same rate for the hours that I adhere to this paternalistic bullshit...

3. Been around for a while ... |

when my previous company got acquired by Simplex, we worked on a new product for the company called "eForce". When it was done, corporate got eForce t-shirts, but the people who actually worked on it didn't. Why?
As told to my super: "You guys aren't getting one because they're afraid a group of you would wear them and do something like goto a Red Sox game and act up. People seeing you do that with our name on the shirts would make the company look bad."
Douchah-bags!

6. I guess I can understand it in some places. |

Like, if you run a fine dining restaurant it wouldn't exactly enhance your guest counts if your sous chef was an all-state champion in televised competitive nose-picking.
But yes, in general, it's pretty much BS.
