1. They were thinking the video sales/rentals would be good? |

Who knows? The only redeeming quality Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo had was that I got to look at Oded Fehr, albeit briefly.

6. The same thing they were thinking the first time. |
|
Nothing. I saw the previews of the first one and when I attempted to placate some of the people I was hanging around with at that time and watch it, I couldn't stand it. I'm with you. The first one was bad. Why would they want to make a second one. Ick.

13. Actually, one got the better of me for a second. |

at another place, not here. I went back and told them a thing or two in clear concise terms. Repugs do tend to live in their own world. They really do have a fantastical fairy tale view of how things really are. Just trying to do my part in letting them know they are mistaken. I eventually won that battle. And I didn't even know that place was a political site... Go figure.
Otherwise, I'm doing fine and healing mostly quite nicely. My belly button is still sore from where they poked an air compressor in to blow my belly up like a balloon to do the surgery. Too bad I didn't think of calling TLC or Discovery Health channel to film it. In retrospect, I would like to see how they got my gallbladder out such a small hole... I mean the biggest incision only an inch wide???
And how might you be doing??? I hope you are fending off the badgers quite nicely. :pals:

15. Rob Schneider is the comedy antichrist |
|
We have systematically trained comedy audiences to expect as little as possible.
And for that effort, we get this kind of shit.

17. They were thinking... |
|
that the end of the studio's fiscal year is coming up at the end of next month, there's a mile and a half of film stock sitting in Meat Locker Number Seven, and if they don't shoot a movie on it quick they'll have to declare it as inventory and pay taxes on it.
The head of the studio's accounting department and the head of the studio's creative department were walking around discussing this unfortunate situation when the accountant sees the script for a movie--THAT movie--sitting on someone's desk. He picks it up.
"Make this movie." 'But Joe, you can't be serious. Have you read that script?' "No, and I don't care. Make this movie." 'Joe, I read that script. It sucks. Really. I'm not fucking making it. Not even the people who liked Ishtar will like that movie.' "Sam, I don't give a shit. Right now, if we don't get rid of that fucking film stock Marty bought, we'll be liable for $30,000 in inventory taxes. So the movie sucks. Big fucking deal. All movies suck now. We need the tax loss carryforward anyway. So I tell you what. I'll give you a choice. Tomorrow morning, I want to see actors, in costume, in front of a camera using up that film stock. So do one of two things: find enough out-of-work actors to make this shitty movie by 8:30 tomorrow morning, spend tonight learning how to act so you can be in the movie, or take the studio tour hostage until they agree to be in the movie.

18. It made well over 65 million dollars. It cost 18 million to make |
|
Hollywood logistics suggest that they make another one for maybe 25 Million and still see returns of at least 50 million.
Besides, 75% of all the stuff out of Hollywood is: Remakes TV sitcoms Sequels Or foreign movies that are remade and butchered.
