Poll question: Fox News Reporter Becomes Daisy Duke. YOUR Verdict?
FOX Reporter 'Becomes' Daisy Duke

Every guy I know is salivating at the sight of Jessica Simpson dressed down in her Daisy Duke costume.

To see what all the fuss is about -- and to see if dressing like trailer trash can really make you feel like a million bucks -- I volunteered myself to model "Dukes of Hazzard"-inspired clothing for my Daisy Duke fashion piece.

Unfortunately, the camera adds 10 pounds, and there ain't much you can hide behind a tank top and short-shorts.

Never one to forgo dessert, I spent much of the weekend noshing on cinnamon Babka and ice cream, only to wake up Monday morning in a panic. I had less than 24 hours before I was supposed to model a pair of Daisy Duke shorts, and I hadn't done a leg lift in over a year.

6. It's been replaced by "entertainment".
Journalism is something that's written, and read, anyway. McLuhan was right. The medium becomes the message. With television, it's all about appearances. So we have an endless parade of brainless twits who get their jobs on looks and their ability to read off a news report without sounding like an idiot, instead of actual reporters. If you want journalism, turn off the television and pick up a newspaper or magazine. Only place you'll get it, at least in the US. (The BBC is, to their credit, somewhat better; I haven't enough experience of television news in any other countries to say anything of what they're like.)

9. A reporter from FOX NEWS using the term "Trailer
Trash? Isn't that going to alienate their entire constituency?

Big trubba for Fox if they don't look out.

11. there needs to be qualifying quotes around "reporter" when
preceded by the words "Fox News" or "journalist" for that matter.
But that just goes without sayin'.
