4. It brought back memories for me. |
|
I was there 20 years ago. Tokyo has nothing on Kyoto, from a visitors point of view.
But it's a fantastic film.
Well done, Sofia Coppola, bet your dad was proud of you for that.
Gotta get the DVD.

6. Please explain it to me |

I love the bulk of Bill Murray's work, have to watch Groundhog Day while Mrs. ZBDent's asleep, but I just didn't see the attraction of this one.
This was a WTF moment for me . . . :wtf:

10. I understood the culture shock |
|
but wasn't it supposed to be a comedy? Maybe that's where I went wrong.
I thought the funniest thing was when they showed the full bit where he was appearing on the Japanese show where he put his hand in the box with the eels . . .
Not much else made me like it.

which was, imo, the best part.
I didn't love it quite as much as everyone else did, and I think that Sophia Coppola has a LOT more attonement to do before she can be forgiven for destroying Godfather III, but I guess it's a good start.
Yes, Ms. Johannssen was incredible.
