I had to stop bringing the kitchen to the computer,
So I finally brought the computer to the kitchen. I have spent the past few days cleaning my kitchen and making a nice computer space for myself.

Since I have been spending so much time here at DU, I have not gotten much else done in my home which includes cooking and cleaning.

Bringing the laptop with wireless network card into the kitchen was not hard. Setting up a nice little workspace for myself, surprisingly not hard either. Cleaning the rest of the kitchen was a bitch. But it is clean and comfortable. And hopefully I can keep it this way by spending more time in here.

And on top of my glorious accomplishment of making myself comfortable and my life a little easier, my husband set me up with a better laptop. If you ever hear me whining, please spank me because I have a good life.

1. I wish you good luck on keeping your kitchen cleaner....
now that you have a nice corner with your laptop all set up! There are a lot of DU'ers who have the same thing that you have...but I don't...I KNOW that if I had this in my kitchen, then that would go to hell quickly....

But I don't multitask well at all...maybe you do...

It does sound extremely nice...enjoy!

:hi:

3. That's great!
I never thought of that! Think of all the dishes I could have been washing while waiting for downloads, or poor response times! On the other hand, I keep my computer in the office cum living room so I can watch TV while I work.

4. I have to live around the television as well
so I have one with cable in the kitchen too. It is actually bigger than the one we watch in the living room. My husbands work space is in the livivg room. We tried making the 2nd bedroom a den, but it never really took, even with a tv and stereo.
