18. I have lived here for most of my life (since 1977).
I have become so acclimated to the heat and humidity that I don't even sweat when I am simply standing outside on a hot (as if there is any other kind here) summer day. I have to move around and exert myself a good amount when working to get the ol' sweat glands to kick in.

TMI, I know.

On the other hand, I am a cold-weather wuss of the highest order - if the temperature drops below 70, it's time to break out the winter coats and crank up the heater!

7. It's cool down here in Alabama
Since May most highs have been in the mid to upper 80s , except last week we had a few days in the 93-97 range. Looks like all the heat has been in the North this year.

Please tell me cooler weather will be here soon. Even for Maryland, this is bad.

15. *only* 102 in Vegas right now
but humid enough so that the heat index is actually higher at 103. But, this is pure heaven compared to that two week stretch of 115-120 degree days we had recently.

Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 02:50 PM by Zuni
although 100 degrees dry is a bitch, 97 and humid is suffocating

on edit---120 degrees---that is fucking ridiculous

21. Per Weather Bug:
Current Temperature: 100

Humidity: 22%

Dew Point: 57 (Anything even approaching 60 is like a sauna to me. I couldn't survive a dew point in the 70's anymore, I don't think.)

Heat Index: 100 (And usually it's dry enough that this number will be up to 5 degrees below the actual temperature.)

20. Going back up in Minneapolis
We had a 2 day break, but it's VERY humid and climbing back thru the high 80s. We've had 10 days or more of 100 heat indexes this summer!

Make it stop!!!
