Project for a New American Mordor (in 3D!)
Sorry, but I'll re-post this until I get yelled at :)

This is a Web-3D chat world that I threw together...

http://www.lucidspace.com/vrml/mu/mordor/contact.htm

To view it in 3D you'll need the following plug-in, MS Internet Exp., and a video card that's less than 5 years old.

Plug-in: http://www.blaxxun.com/en/products/contact/eula.html

2D Snapshots:

Orcs marching from the Whitehouse..

Free speech zone for all you commie protesters!

Mt Doom

The Pentagon

Damn dirty apes!

Enjoy

1. Count it as bookmarked...
You made my night. I used to play with the vrml worlds and I especially loved Floops the first time I saw him using the Cosmos Player. I loved The Palace too. I couldn't really find "my type of crowd" very easily there though. I'm on a Mah Jongg quest tonight and will be busy much of the weekend. I will definitely bookmark the link and start downloading the plugin onto my new computer for later. I'll visit as soon as I can. Dialup, you know...This has quenched my longing for the good old days when virtual reality 3D worlds kept me busy for hours on end back in the 90's. I loved it. It's a perfect idea.

Most of the visitors to my 3D world are from Europe, and most have been a bit shaken-up by the message. I think many have conditioned themselves to be very polite and avoid the subject.

I had been the server administrator for Geometrek from about 1999 to present, they were a very active Web-3D development group. After 9/11, most of us lost contact with each other, and the group just kind of fizzled out. :(
