They recently entered the Texas market, and I'm glad they took the plunge. I picked up a bottle of HopDevil IPA the other day and quaffed it this evening. What a hoppy delight! It's a great beer for a summertime evening.

I bought a bottle of Golden Monkey, too. Can't wait to break into THAT bad boy.

I picked up the HopDevil at Grapevine Market. I haven't seen it anywhere else yet, but I hear that it's also at other places around town. Goooooood stuff, if you like big IPAs.

4. Grapevine Market is awesome!

I'm more of a lager person, and I see from their site that they make a lager and a dark lager. Interesting.

Fridays are always good for me since it's casual day. I'll have to check and make sure nothing is going on, but I think I'm free.

6. Grapevine is a lot of fun.

I could spend a lot of time (and money) there. They have one of the best beer selections in town to go along with their world-class wine selection. Yowza! They can be a little pricey, but the selection is unbeatable.

Central Market always seems to be out of it. It's a shame because CM is cheaper. But Grapevine ALWAYS has it.

Best wine store I've ever been in. Ever. Pretty near the best beer store, too, other than maybe the big Spec's warehouse in Houston.

I hear that the new Whole Foods has a massive selection, too. Gotta check them out one of these days.

There's a guy that works at Grapevine that's real knowledgeable about beer. He's a big help.

The guy at Grapevine, that is. He must know his beer pretty well. I'm occasionally disappointed with their lack of stock on certain brands, but they do rock for the most part. There's only one place in town that MIGHT have a better selection, and that's the Whip In over by Oltorf.

Tonight I'm drinking the Prima Pils. Victory just started to show up in Western Mass recently. It may be because 2 former Victory brewers opened a brewpub in Berkshire County earlier this year. I haven't tried the pub yet but it's on my list.
