4. God yes!
I'm fighting fleas in the carpets now. Nightmarish.

Frontline (or the other brand. Advantage?) is great stuff. Don't bother with the much lower priced stuff like Hartz. Has almost no effect. Pay the money for the good stuff. It's worth it.

3. wanna see how bad problem is in your residence?
get a dish plate and fill it with soapy water - set on floor and train a high-powered light on it over night. Observe drowned fleas in morning.

8. I never had a dog or cat in my apartment in Honolulu - but got fleas
infesting the entire place one nite - they migrated thru the carpet in the hall to my place.

Reached toward the middle of my bed to see why I spilled pepper there, and it all jumped away!

Vacuumed about 3 or 4 times a day, bought a bunch of flea collars - threw a bunch around the rooms, and wore white socks and put them on my ankles for a week or more.

Eventually got rid of them.

Powders didn't seem to work, either.

Everyone who visited had to wear my new wardrobe - seemed to do the trick!

Good luck - it's not pleasant.

Did I mention there are NO FLEAS in Las Vegas?!!! Too hot, not enough moisture.

Knew there was an advantage to 120 degree climate!

Dr. Goodpet Inside Flea Relief, with 100% pure borate crystals, offers easy-to-apply protection by killing existing fleas and preventing insects from setting up house in carpets, furniture and upholstery. An unrecognized epidemic of allergy and disease is ravaging cats and dogs. Why is it happening? What can you do to protect your pets? This book, based on many years of clinical experience, provides startling insight into why pets become sick and die before their time and why they constantly scratch and attract fleas, and provides the information and solutions that pet owners are looking for. Pure Shampoo, a natural cleansing and enriching formula, offers an effective alternative to commercial pet shampoos that often irritate and dry the sensitive skin of pets.

I used Dr. Goodpet powder on my carpet plus Frontline on the dog and cat -- cured the flea problem.

A well supplied Natural Food/health food store often stocks this.
