Who's your obscure actor/actress crush?
You know the character actor who is in everything... but never rises to superstar status?

I adore Glenne Headly. She's stunning, a fantastic actor, and she's even a member of Mensa. Like that would matter.

She's been in X-Files, And the Band Played On, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, On Golden Pond, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and many more...

1. I used to have a crush on her too...
Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 11:44 PM by RandomKoolzip
She was also in "Seize the Day," the Saul Bellow adaptation starring Robin Williams.

Right now, though, I have a crush on Kim Stanley's character from "Seance on a Wet Afternoon" (Has ANYONE else seen this flick?!)

And he was also in “Days of Our Lives” –there was a phase when my mom loved watching that soap and I used to watch with her and that coincided with the time that he was on there

And, although I’m a heterosexual male, I’ll concede that he’s very attractive

Speaking of the "Nanny", I also had a crush on Lauren Lane -who played CC. I mean the actress, not the character

41. Cara Buono

She's the cutie on the right. I've just seen her in a couple of independent films; the "biggest" movie she's been in, I believe, is The Hulk where she plays the mother who gets killed at the beginning.

And then there's Amber Tamblyn:

She's not really that obscure, since she had her own TV show and all, but the biggest movies she's been in are The Ring (where she plays the girl who gets killed at the beginning) and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. With "Joan of Arcadia" cancelled I believe she's planning on doing more films.

My others (besides Kristen Bell, who I mentioned before) would include Maggie, Anna Faris, Amy Acker, Bonnie Somerville, Ali Larter, Zooey Deschanel, Thandie Newton, and possibly my soap crushes would be considered obscure. Soaps have devoted but relatively small audiences. Biggest soap crushes are: Sharon Case, Lauren Woodland, Adrienne Frantz, Stephanie Gatschet, and Ashley Jones.

and a whole load of others that don't come to mind

Beth Broderick was "Aunt Zelda" in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and has also starred in a number of TV movies.

Sharon Lawrence was on "NYPD Blue" and she has starred in Desperate Housewives and a number of other telemovies

Anjelica Torn played the mother of the girl who appeared as a ghost to Cole in the Sixth Sense (I can't go into greater detail here because it may spoil the plot).

Lisa Banes has been in numerous telemovies including "My Son Is Innocent" and in David E Kelley's "Girls Club"

72. I have quite a few
Newest one: Kristen Bell. She'll be on UPN's Veronica Mars. I just put her in my crush list.

83. The dark, brooding types...
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 07:05 PM by SCRUBDASHRUB

Peter Krause

and strangely, Billie Joe Armstrong (OK, so he's not an actor, but he wouldn't normally be my type. Not a big tatoo fan, but something about him is hot. The punk attitude I guess).

84. Carmen Maura, William H. Macy
Carmen Maura - Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown, virtually every other Almodovar movie. Beautiful and a brilliant actress.

William H. Macy - not obscure, but not someone most people see as crush material. But he definitely is.

Khash.

89. Currently - Zhao Wei, obscure in the US
well known in China, though. I've had a ton of others that I can't think of tonight.

90. the girl from "Just One of the Guys"
I don't remember her in any other movies... but, that was a fun movie and I'm sure most straight men remember her at the end flashing the guy she had a crush on.

91. A lot of women in the 60's film A Guide for The Married Man
Walter Matthau is getting lessons on how to have an affair from a buddy; he's married to Inger Stevens(center) and wants to play around with a rich divorcee Elaine Devry(right)...

Also in the film are Sue Ann Langdon

Linda Harrison(soon to be Nova in Planet of the Apes)

and Jayne Mansfield who has a great bit; she's with a married guy in his house in the morning and she can't find her bra; he's afraid his wife will find it, she shrugs innocently and says "She'll probably just think it's hers...'

I love those full figured women of the 50's and 60's...
