Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins - totally underrated film.

One excellent, underrated, totally ignored film.

I wish they would have done some sequels. Fucking love it!

Right up there with Fifth Element.

1. The Fisher King
Rabrrrrrr after living life too close to the edge for too long finally can go over the lip at the slightest nudge.

Ooops is this the wrong thread ?

Oh well, it's not likely to make much difference.

9. Oh, come on! It's a movie at such a high artistic level
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 02:20 AM by Rabrrrrrr
that very few directors could ever hope to achieve such gloriousness.

That said, even the greatest movie, if it doesn't have a story that is compelling, isn't any good to those who find it uncompelling.

And while oft times really good artistic films are totally lost on the ignorant illiterati that is the majority party in the US, even amongst the intellectuals they don't work, and that's okay. There are people are otherwise totally legitimately artistic in their sensibilities who don't like any variety of otherwise critically acclaimed artists. That's all part of the nature of the thing.

I, however, believe that it's an excellent and compelling story.

10. I need to see it again
Saw it once, in the theater, when it opened. Probably had a headache or something.

11. Or, it could be that the movie just doesn't speak to you
and that's okay!

12. Perhaps....
But I often find movies I did not like the first time end up being some of my favorites. Case in point, Goodfellas.
