BBC Three, the digital television channel, yesterday unveiled its autumn schedule which includes a show that its controller, Stuart Murphy, said he was "slightly nervous about" - an all-female comedy sketch programme called Tittybangbang.
A clip from the first episode shows a group of men being led through a stately home while an Italian maid, in apron and high-heels, attempts to distract them. Other episodes are said to feature "lesbian lion-tamers and semi-naked needlepointers".
Mr Murphy said that while he was "acutely aware" that licence-payers were providing his £93 million budget, the title, aimed at viewers in their 20s and 30s, "got a laugh, every time someone heard it, and you have to take a risk at times".
