Perhaps not as great as Chasing Amy, but it really is wonderful. Kevin Smith has been so disappointing lately, I wonder if he will be able to deliver for Clerks 2?
I think moving away from New Jersey and the east coast is what killed him. Or maybe just getting married, having children, and being rich.

After growing up in New Jersey, in a town close by, working at one point as a video store clerk - so I knew all those frustrations AND at another point a convenience store clerk - so I knew all THOSE frustrations too.
Clerks, for me, was therapeutic

I still prefer Clerks to Amy but love them both for fairly different reasons. I don't like Jay and Silent Bob SB as much as I used to but liked Jersey Girl more than I thought I would.
According to the man himself being married and having a kid energized him and he is still surrounded by most of his Jersey friends despite moving to L.A. You can take the man out of Jersey but you can't take Jersey out of the man. I unfortunately know all that too well although I have yet to successfully escape Jersey.
