OK, Gumbo I'm down with. But what is the 'Ya Ya' all about? |
|
Can someone explain that? Can it BE explained?

1. As far as I know, it means |
|
everyone talking at once. Kinda makes sense, if 'yaya' is yakking and 'gumbo' is a mélange.
I know this, as I know everything I know, thanks to Elvis -- "Gumbo Ya Ya" was almost the title of one of his '60s movies. Woulda been cool.

7. Yep, it got made with a different |
|
title: Girls! Girls! Girls! Set in Hawaii, and filmed there in 1962. So, yeah, no Nawlins connection at all, really. :-)
Maybe it should have been Poi Ya-Ya.
My other favorite working title to one of Elvis' films was Bumblebee, Oh Bumblebee, changed to Stay Away, Joe. If I remember correctly, Bumblebee is a place somewhere north of Flagstaff, which at least fits the story 'cos Elvis played a Navajo dude in the film. And, in one of those twists of fate, the Bumblebee Tuna Factory was featured in Girls! Girls! Girls!
