What would I find in your refrigerator?
I have been putting off the thankless task of cleaning out the fridge. It's my turn. I loathe the task.

In my fridge, you would be greated by:
3 packages of tofu
1 tub of hummus from the local Lebanese grocer
4 cartons of soy milk
4 cartons of OJ
a fruit bounty that would make the produce manager green with envy
bird food
a small army of Naked Superfood Green Machine drinks
some tofu kielbasa (first time purchase... we'll see how they taste)
Assorted jams, jellies and sauces

And you?

19. Best to keep that in the fridge...
These warm summer months can really speed up the decaying process. In a mere few hours, you'd have a moldy head, and really, what good is that?

4. I don't know...
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 12:20 PM by Bat Boy
I haven't been in there since I caught the month old leftover vindaloo mating with a cantaloupe of indeterminate age.

They told me to shut the door and I haven't opened it since.

10. Call in the HazMat team!
I shudder to think what alien life form is taking over your fridge.

At one time when I lived alone I had an ancient but refurbished fridge. I mean ancient, as in Eisenhower was president when this sucker rolled off the assembly line, but it was the cheapest one in the used appliance store, used very little electricity and worked well for about six years. There was a little freezer unit big enough for ice cube trays and little else. I went out of town on a three day business trip and when I came home, I opened the fridge door and saw that everything had been frozen. There were exploded beer bottles with suspended froth, black lettuce, containers frozen to other containers, and an inch thick layer of ice on the walls. It was a sight to behold.

20. Did you have a visit from Zuul?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Oh my God. Look at all the junk food.
Dana Barrett: No. No, Dammit. Look this wasn't here...
Dr. Peter Venkman: You actually eat this?
Dana Barrett: No, this wasn't here. There was nothing here. There was this... space, with a building or something with flames coming out of it, and there were creatures writhing around it, and they were growling and snarling. And there were flames, and I heard a voice say "Zuul" I mean it was right here.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Well I'm sorry, I'm just not getting any reading.
Dana Barrett: Well are you sure you're using that thing correctly?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yeah, Its not... I mean I think so, but Im sure there are no animals in there.
Dana Barrett: This is great. Either I have a monster in my kitchen or I'm completely crazy.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I don't think you're crazy.
Dana Barrett: Oh good, that makes me feel so much better.

6. This is working from memory
As I don't really want to walk downstairs to check.

Milk, tonic water, butter, cheese (cheddar and another the name of which I can't remember), cherry tomatoes, various pre-packed salads for lunch this week, some damn-fine ham (ditto), some Italian salami (which particular type I forget), bacon - plus various gone-off things which I've forgotten about.

9. The Abyss.
Peering into my refrigerator would actually drive you insane. No human can handle the truth of the abyss that I hold in my fridge, for it is the opening to a non-euclidean world filled with horrors that no human mind could conceive and truth of existence that the human mind cannot know without going instantly insane in order to protect itself from a fate worse than insanity.

Only Rabrrrrrrs can peer into the abyss and remain unscathed.

You'll also find some cheese, orange juice, a pot of leek and potato soup, and a bunch of not-so-fresh veggies.

That with your mind open you can receive glimpses into all time tracks. Ah, I just recieved a vision from refridgerator... President Bush and Adminstration will eventually get caught up in their little criminal games and be impeached and arrested. Bush just looks so sad standing before the Tribunal in The Hague...

You'll also find some milk, chocolate milk, some tuna shit I made last night, yougurt, bread and grapes.

29. Was that a special feature on your fridge?
See... it does pay to spend just a little bit extra for a quality fridge then to grab the $50 wonder I bought off craigslist.

My fridge only lets me look into the past, and I've had it up to here with Bush's semi-homoerotic beer benders with his frat buddies.
