Trying to convince my friend that when a girl cancels because...
She has "heat stroke" it's a pretty good indication that she's not into it.
Try telling that to him though... yeesh

1. I don't know...
The only time I had a girl end a date because of heat stroke, it really meant that she wanted to go home and get out of all those hot clothes...

How are the wildfires over there this year? They were so bad last time I was over there (2003?) I couldn't get past Kamloops.

15. Um...what the fuck is wrong with honesty?
Better a painful truth than a pleasant lie, I always say. Just something else I don't understand about women, I suppose.

18. triple digit heat
can be a real killer.

I have had heat stroke myself and it is extremely miserable--and if you have ever had it once you are more vulnerable to having it again. Believe it or not, but I am MISERABLE once the temp gets above around 88 or so. Don't even TALK about the triple digits! (And I am in California--where it is not even that humid!). I am meant for a colder climate--I cannot take the heat. I would be extremely sympathetic to any woman that shared this condition.

I always take people at their word--so I would give her another try--if she is just coming up with an excuse, you will find out soon enough. What does it hurt to give it a shot? I would give her some time to rest and recouperate, then call her up, express sympathy over the heat making her feel bad, see how she is doing--and ask her if she wants to go get a nice cold drink with me.

24. If I had a date last night, I would have cancelled for the heat exhaustion
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 04:08 AM by fleabert
I nearly ended up calling an ambulance, if it weren't for some quick- thinking co-workers and a lot of ice, I'd have been SOL.

could be the truth man.

on edit, it was about 98 with really high humidity here yesterday (and I am from south texas! It is RARE that I am affected by the heat that way, I was shocked my body freaked out like that, it comes on really fast.)
