So I"m watching this dating show...

and I notice that all the women on it love tall men. What is it about tall men that women love? I'm 5'6", early 20s, and girls sometimes turn me down because I'm too short. Can somebody please tell me what that's all about?

i am the same height and i got no dates in college. only superficial women are like that, but you don't need those types anyhow. i currently have a g/f who sees past all that crap. don't worry because it all becomes irrelevant in the long run:-)

the big guy might not win the fights these days but still subconciously the brain picks up certian physical properties of a prospective mate and overall in nature size is dominance(in males), why is the alpha male in a pack the largest 99 percent of the time?

Yeah, but how many 6'2" guys can crawl down a rabbit hole to drag him out for dinner? :-) I prefer to think of myself as "compact" -- a molehill of molten lust (at 5'7", I tend to be in the cusp between the Rugrats <tm, Nickelodeon> and Really Really Big Man <also tm, Nickelodeon>. ;-) ).

Yes, I've occasionally caused bigger people to back down. We vertically-challenged people often have to develop "attitude" to a fine art. (And it probably doesn't hurt that the people in my circles know I'll fight dirty, too :evilgrin: )

20. Bono is 5'7, and I've always found that shorter guys are *very* strong.

All the "shorter" men I've known can kick someone's ass but good.

and know where your'e coming from, my step daughter who is 5 feet tall had a boyfriend who was around 6'6'' tall, looked freaky to me.
