5. I think so
It's going to be a Ford Explorer; either a 93 Eddie Bauer or a 92 XLT. Both are pretty cheap (2500US) and we only need them to last for a year before our credit is good enough to get a new car. We should know by today which one we'll get; I'm pretty excited..

for the Radio Enigma Webcam, right? (Just so you didn't think we'd forgotten . . . ;) )

11. Of course!
We were actually talking about this today in passing as we were looking at cars; she really liked the idea of me going out on the balcony on a busy night while the show is on and taking the webcam with me and doing a play by play of the brawls!

6. Good morning! I had a great time...

Went to a "Schandmaul" concert at the castle in Wertheim, it was marvellous; visited the Celtic museum at Glauberg with a friend from Detmold, had a BBQ in the evening (it rained, of course), and now my friend and I are about to feed the monsters, then I will give her a tour through the Leather museum.

I am happy that you enjoyed your weekend. Say hello to the mosnters. Seems like you have no luck with your BBQ's these days. At least not with the weather. The food is yummy no matter what.

12. OKay
I have had a sinus headache for most of the weekend, but luckily I was able to take some meds to stave it back some. This morning I have to go stand in line at college for textbooks that cost way too much. I either need to get a nap in now, or just stay up from last night and try to cope with the sleepiness I will feel when I get there. Luckily, it's interesting enough to watch and listen to all the strangers I seem to always be next to in line. That whole Jerry Springer head bobbling from side to side while they gossip is always amusing and sorta funny to me. Of course, if I am sleepy, I may laugh out loud and have to make up a joke to CMA...

I finally got through to the end of Diablo, the game, this weekend. I wish it had ended differently.

I stuffed my face with a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriaki sub from Subway for my birthday yesterday. Yummy.

13. Belated Happy Birthday
sorry to hear that you were sick. I hope you feel better now. Don't worry about laughing out loud or making jokes. Can you take someone with you so you can share the comments on the people around you? It is way more fun to gossip about people together :9

15. Thanks
My stepdad said he'd come help me carry the books out when I get through (I just had surgery and can't lift too much right now), but other than that, I'm on my own for this. I may ask one of the bobbleheaded people to wake me up and just nap at school. It'd be a second time only deal for me. I usually stay pretty alert in school except during this one algebra class I had in ninth grade with this teacher I couldn't hear. I napped then. Still managed to pass algebra somehow...

22. Friday after work
train leaves at 4pm, which means I will be leaving work half an hour early. I just have to get through this week. 4 1/2 more days. Still need to pack, I guess I will do that Thursday evening ... that is typical for me - start packing at the latest possibility.

23. Wow!
summer passes by far too quickly

I'm packed and ready to go days in advance, I hate to forget anything and this help.

Next trip out will be easy ~ no room for extras. My leathers, rain gear & books will almost fill the trunk on the trike so a very few clean clothes will be in a duffel bag secured to the back seat with bungees.

24. I am not going somewhere where I can't buy stuff I might forget
I already gave my mom stuff to take with her. That makes it easier for me. I just need to pack clothes and washing stuff. And a book to read on the train ride. And some music. Other than that I am fine :)

That's why I ask all of my friends not to buy me any presents this year because what I want them to do instead of spending money on me ~ is join DU.

31. me too
I've gotten some very thoughtful presents in the past but I have everything that money can buy, way too much of everything. I talk about DU all the time, I'd like for them to meet my on-line friends.

I'd also like to discuss some of the things I read about in the other forums. My house mates are impressed that I often know about things in the news before they do ... thanks to DU.

We walked, too. In the heat. Not sure how smart that was, but it was good exercise and a bit of fun.

I tried once to swing but it didn't really apply to me.
My exercise last weekend was dancing and sitting in the car and driving around meeting friends ... LOL

33. Welcome to Monday
rain most of the weekend, esp. Sunday. That was okay, I needed to stay in, rest and do housework, and drink Thai iced coffee. Watched soccer matches, Mexican league early and Euro friendly later. Not a bad day, and it's a nice rainy Monday. :woohoo:

Sunday is band day, but they're cancelled in the rain. That's the major reason to go to the deck on Sunday. Besides, I needed to do chores and the rest.

36. Meh, I spent the whole weekend writing a paper
that needs much more work and is due today. x( I HATE writing scientific papers, I don't know how scientists do it w/o going crazy. And this is what I want to do w/ my life.

Oh well, after the presentation on Wed, everything will be fine and on Thurs., I can go rafting, rapelling, and canopy ziplining, whatever that is. :woohoo:
