Love cats? Why not volunteer for your local feline rescue group
I have started to volunteer again for a local "Trap-Neuter-Rescue" (TNR) group here in Delaware. The group captures feral cats within Delaware and gets them neutered and vaccinated. Since many of these cats are too "feral" for adoption. But many of those feral cats brought in are pregnant mammas which go into foster care until their babies are born and weaned. If Mamma cat is still too wild she'll be neutered and returned to her colony but the kittens are usually put up for adoption and our local Pet Smart provides us space to help out with adoption.

I know that there are TNR rescue groups throughout the country. These are all "No-Kill" policies and usually can use the help with working their adoption stands to assistance with fostering cats. And as always, financial donations can always help.

I started again with volunteering last Saturday and they had the sweetest pets available for adoption. Including was a 9month old calico that looked like she shaved off half of her black handlebar mustache.

and I'd love to volunteer. No kidding, a kittie bomb must have went off in that place. The receptionist told us that they rescued something like 100 cats from an apartment, hence the one room stacked to the ceiling with cats.

2. they have an overload of kittens here in Delaware
and fortunately they all do seem to get adopted quickly. I just feel bad for the adults who get passed over simply because they're no longer "Cute & Adorable". I've had good luck with both of my cats who were adopted as adults even though I think Evita would have been sent back to the wild if I hadn't picked her (she's an indoor feral cat but as long as she uses the litter box we're fine)

3. I thought these cats were all 6-month old or so kittens.
They looked healthy, but were small- turns out they're all adults that suffered malnourishment and neglect. Poor things.

4. The cat saving place I know
has Michael Savage books on the shelves and says that we must dress nice so the Buddist people will give more money to the facility since beauty attracts money. One volunteer wore a shirt with a huge bug cartoon face and the woman who worked there asked how could she take him seriously, but he was cleaning out pet cages. WTF!!! These people think they're oh so New Age and enviornmentalist and all that crap, but the bottom line is the money, ALWAYS, The cat saving is just a front.
