Did anybody else just see the momma panda get POd?
She had gone outside to eat and the staff had locked her out to check the baby out.
Momma bear heard the baby cry and got extremely upset.
She was hollering, trying to break through the bars on the little window
and trying to figure out a way to get the door open. :scared:

5. She was half-way thru the door before it was all the way open,
and she was making some kind of growly-barking kind of noise.
It took just a bit for them to get the camera focused on her,
then you could see that she had picked the baby up and was nursing,
and you could hear a staff member apologizing to momma bear for making her baby cry. :)

I would feel so bad to make her so upset. :( It's nice that the zookeepers apologize to her. :)

8. He has to stay where she leaves him for now! He can't even roll around.
He just wiggles and shakes his feet and wags his little tail. ;)

Have you seen the new baby panda on the San Diego Zoo panda cam? It was born on the 2nd or 3rd of August. It's really tiny right now. :)
