Do you have throw rugs that walk? |
|
I have mutiple throw rugs around my condo. The ones on the wall to wall carpet - if they are not secured by furniture on top of them - all migrate east. They move several inches in a single day or half a day, regardless of their orientation (east-west, north-south, etc.) They all end up against the first obstacle that stops them from moving farther east, like a wall, or a sofa.
Is that weird, or is a function of the carpet itself? The rugs on tile don't do it.
Every day I have to move the rugs back to where they started. It's like a conspiracy....

2. You need to invite kids over to throw up on them |
|
After a couple of yaks from kids the rugs stiffen up and won't move again.

I'd rather have rugs that walk, if it's just the same to you!

I come home every day to a new re-arrangement of rugs and furniture. And three very cute noses!

10. Do they all walk in the same direction? |
|
I have one runner that runs north-south along the back of my sofa. It always ends up having moved 4 inches east to the sofa, but I walk both directions on it (i.e., north and south).
It's always straight, too.
weird.

6. my rugs don't walk....... |
|
....they go sliding rapidly across the floor when my dog runs around the apartment. sometimes she gets a running start and jumps on them and rides them across the room. and i have a bokara runner in the hall that gets all bunched up on one end when she goes tearing thru.
i need to get the pads under them to hold them in place better.

12. Maybe it's the nap of the carpet? |
|
I don't have any dogs, so the only thing I can think of is carpet nap, although there is no obvious one.
Time for X-Files reruns.

11. Maybe you're on a slant... |
|
The condo could be laying on a slant that is making your carpets move.

14. I thought about that too |
|
But why would only the throw rugs on the wall to wall carpet walk, but not those on linoleum?
twilight zone time....
