I am now OFFICIALLY ENRAGED!!! (not a copycat thread)
CompUSA told me that they are looking for a replacement T3 PDA. If they can't get one, they will send me store credit. I then return the defective unit.

I just bought an extended battery for my T3 just over a month ago along with some software.

The battery will be useless but the software could be used if I get a T5 in exchange...

But the T5 is technically a downgrade...

Then there's pocket pc to consider; I'd only consider the ipaq hx2755...

Ugh.

1. Can somebody get us an English translation?
A little too much computer lingo for me there.

6. T3 = model. PDA = "personal digital assistant".
Indeed, T3 seems simpler to understand than hx2755...

7. I think
A PDA is a small, portable computer. He got a defective one, and they're going to try to replace it, but he already bought a battery for the one he has that won't work with a possible replacement that isn't as nice.

Not a techie, but I live with one :)

10. Have you ever seen
"Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage" skit on Conan O'Brien? That's what this rant reminds me of.

8. Plugged it into the cradle and it did a hard reset...
crashes all the time since and won't recognize/play WAV files (though the WAV files on my SD card are fine) without locking up the system too.

The cradle was plugged into the PC but not the wall outlet, I later discovered. (which makes 0 sense; I've plenty of transfer cables that go from palm to PC directly and don't blow the damn thing up!)

It's Palm's fault for not hiring a decent engineer to introduce simple mechanisms to allow the cradle to work ONLY when plugged in fully...

9. That blows....
I used to be all up on the latest handhelds. I did SQA on software that ran on mobile devices and had all the cool toys. Now.... I have an antiquated Palm V that sits on my desk as a paper-weight. I really liked the mobile PC's, but Palm's have come a long way.

I hope it works out for you! Regardless, if you need spare batteries or chargers for any device, I am the best connection you could get... let me know if you need anything.
