I just watched the first half of ABC World News Tonight and cried through it.

1. Not on yet in my area, but I suspect I'll do something similar.

It's very sad to see the last portion of one of the pillars of democracy (a free press uncowed by the establishment) pass away.

Jennings' death is not just the death of a man, it's a death knell to quality journalism, period.

2. I didn't even try.

I was a horrible mess last night, and I felt kind of silly about it--I didn't personally know the dude, and all that.

But all the same....I told someone today he had died and I got all emotional. I didn't even attempt ABC today. :(

I'm very upset by his death.
