Have you ever had an angiogram before? They're not so bad. They went straight into angioplasties for me three times without the bypass since only one artery was involved. If that's true for you as well, it's fairly quick, easy and you're out the next day usually.

26. For what its worth, my dad and all his friends have had similar

procedures, some multiple times. This stuff is routine now. So keep cool. My dad had a stent put in about five years ago -- he is in seventies and he is a tiger.

... my wife has had a stent installed, and other than a small hiccup related to her renal problems, it went smoothly. They've done these operations a million times, they are somewhat routine now.

You know you're going to have to lay still for awhile afterwards, right? Have the discussed the procedure in detail with you? I think stress (and therefore stress hormones) is diminished when you know what to expect.
