I can log in in Internet Exploiter, but NOT in Firefox. Help!! |
|
I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. I've heard too many scary things about IE and Outlook to keep using them, so I made the switch. I imported all my stuff so all the information should be the same. However, for some reason I am completely unable to log into this site in Firefox. I have deleted my cookies, temp files and history from IE and everything but still it won't work. Any suggestions?

1. Does it give you any error messages? |
|
Or does it just sit there "working" and never bring it up?

4. It gives me the "if this screen doesn't refresh, click here" for a moment |
|
and then it goes right into the main forum screen, only it's as if I never tried to log in. I make sure that IE is closed when I do this, so there should be no conflict. I may go ahead and delete the cookies that were imported from Firefox as well and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, something mighty strange is going on. I can log in with my user name and password in IE, log out, log in... as many times as I want and it behaves. Not so with Firefox.

but for some reason today my normally very stable Firefox totally left me. All I got was a white screen, no bookmarks, nothing. Be certain to save your bookmarks every so often. I did get it all back but it took me all day because I had a totally messed up computer.
Once you get it up and going you will most likely love it. I wonder if there was just some strange stuff going on today with it? I have never had a problem like that before.

Never had any problems. Add in "RoboForm", and you won't EVER want to use IE again!

7. It's a password manager program... |
|
It saves all your passwords, and all you have to do click on the site you want to log into in the "Logins" menu...it pulls up the site, inserts your user name and password and submits the page! It also has a password generator and will supply you with a password that NO ONE could ever guess! Something like: Y2gq8mUf9756. It is FANTASTIC! I don't know what I EVER did without it!

You can get the file in the "Extensions" section of the Firefox website!

Deleting the imported cookies fixed the problem. Simple enough. :)
But thanks for chipping in with suggestions!
