Poll question: Should They Bring Back "D.C. Follies" ? |
|
I vaguely remember this show from the late 1980's - it was a bunch of puppets dressed up like politicians.
Think the Genesis 'Land of Confusion' video for further reference.
I think the show was done by the same people who made H.R. Puff 'n Stuff.
Anyone remember it?
And if so, did you like it, would you like to see it brought back for a new era. One certainly ripe for political satire.

1. The only scene I remember from the show. . . |
|
was a vignette of Ron and Nancy Reagan discussing their marriage. Nancy turned to Ron and said, "Oh, how I remember when you proposed. You took me in your arms, gazed deeply in my eyes, and said, 'Whatta ya mean, the rabbit died?'"

I think I was about 8 when it was cancelled but I loved it. You're right, it was done by the H.R. Puff'n Stuff people.

Everyone is going to think I'm oversexed today (I'm not, no really) but this is a true story. At the moment I lost my virginity, I looked up and it was those dang puppets on the TV (MTV that is, or was) on that Phil Collin's video. I will always associate those puppets and one big ouch (not that it didn't get better later).
