i'm having a shitty day-- can i get a hug?
WTF IS SO HARD ABOUT CONNECTING UP MY INTERNETS????

So I wait around half the day for the cable guy to show up-- there's no food in my new apt, other than Dr. Pepper and granola bars, and no phone yet, so I'm basically at his mercy. I last ate at noon yesterday because i had to wait for my cousin and his truck to move furniture all yesterday afternoon and evening. long story...

Señor Cable Hombre finally shows up, hooks up the cable, tells me my hi-speed internets is working ("see the lights are flashing on the modem"), and I go to set up my fairly current machine and..... nada. I run their "install disk" and, zilch.

I just forked out $100 for the pleasure of not having ANY FREAKING INTERNETS!!!! I missed a day of work for this?!?!?!?!

So here I am in a coffee shop with free wi-fi, trying to find out WTF is going on in my life (i'm a professional webmaster, and basically live on the internets-- thank you Al Gore), my new apartment is a mess, it's hot and humid, and my cats are buggging the shiite out of me and....

dammit, could somebody please give me a hug?
;(
