A question for people with indoor cats.

How many cats live in your house most of the time?

1. Depends on the season.

My house has kitty doors, so they come and go as they please. Typically they're inside all summer and winter when the weather makes being outside miserable. During the spring and fall, however, I can barely keep track of them.

that will leave on Sunday to join Larry in Pittsburgh. I think his littermate Flummi will cry all day missing him.

3. Just one. I wish I had gotten another one when she was a kitten.

She's 12 now. There's no way she would allow another cat in the house at her age. I wish I had gotten another cat for her to keep her company.

4. One upstairs with us, one downstairs...

with my grandparents.

We tried to put him and my girl kitty together but that just didn't work, so my grandparents decided to take care of him instead of us sending him to the shelter. :)

I still consider them both my cats though, because I play with him at least once a day. :)

10. Oh, CONSTANTLY.

Ginger the Sweet Orange Boy is on the threshhold - literally; he lives under the front porch. But Mrs. V. would kill me. :hi:

Once the other kitten we took in last winter is spayed, we'll install our cat door, and we may lose those two kittens (they may revert to feral). I don't want to lose them but the house will be calmer.

Good for you for opening your home to so many kitties. I can only keep two (both from the Humane Society). I've had to diversify into other species in order to bring more animals into my house.

The apartment won't hold any more! I adopted these three as tiny babies when their mom got hit by a car. They run as a very definite pack so outsiders are a no-no.

15. Down to 4 now, all rescued strays. The only time they go out is to the

vet. Mostly they are ok with it, but they don't get a vote. Also have my eye on a kitty I think is stray, if she is she will be #5.
