2. It's a stoner joke.

It's a reference to the cartoon series "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", about a squabbling group of sentient humanoid fast-food products
who have strange adventures in suburban New Jersey. The quad laser was a weapon used by the Mooninites, a pair of aliens who like to steal and smoke and key people's cars and who look like early-'80s video-game sprites. There's more info here:

where the shake deep-fries an entire cow on the front lawn and burns a tree in the process. The trees subpeona the shake to go to trial for murder after that.
