and a cliff for a mouth that would go up and down
and whenever he laughed
He would cough up some dust and HAAACK up a boulder

HACK HACK!

6. Ha!.....I've had no luck in getting my friends to listen.....
to "Billy the Mountain". After the first couple of minutes, they're, like, "what the fuck is that shit?" I tell them its a classic anti- war/anti-draft anthem, but to no avail! Oh well.

"Just another band from L.A. also has the definitive version of "Call any vegetable". (IMHO)

7. Oh yeah!..................
"A mountain is something,
you don't wanna fuck with,
don't wanna fuck with,
don't fuck around!"

That's us folks....a growing mountain of discontent!

Watch out, Chimpco Inc.

12. You better get your ass in gear and get down there for your f-ing physical
or I'll see to it that you end up as landfill in some impending New Jersey marsh reclamation, and your wife here will end up as a series of broomsticks...

14. I first heard "Billy the Mountain" playing in the record dept of
the Harvard Coop (store). I loved it; I was laughing so much. I stayed in the store so I could hear the whole thing. Then I immediately bought the album.

15. There is another version on Playground Psychotics
that's a bit longer. Same basic story, but with some extra instrumental stuff, and a bit different.

18. A 2 CD set of old live stuff he put out a few years ago -
Not sure when it came out, but I'd say it must have been '93, maybe even '94.

9. The first car I owned was a 1953 Studebaker Commander V8
That was in 1957, when I was a young member of Uncle Sugar's Air Force. It was the forerunner of the Hawk series. The Hawks had a different grille and fins, else the same. My car was a damn good car. Maybe the strongest memory of that time is driving to LA to visit my girlfriend and listening to Fats Domino sing Blueberry Hill.
