22. Yuppies?
Listen.

When we moved to Chicago, back in the early seventies, we picked where we'd live precisely because a new TI was opening in the 'hood. We ended up taking an apartment at Clark and Armitage, and the day the Treasure Island across the street from Second City opened - I think it was 1971 - I was the first damn customer to check out.

I loved having groceries delivered. That was just great.

Yuppies? Hell, thirty-four years ago, we were just people who loved good and exotic food.

Welcome to the club, child ......................

26. Have you actually made the mayonnaise figaro?
That would be one way to show how much you love Treasure Island. I remember thinking it would be good, but I haven't written it down from the front window to try it.

18. If they can get you in the door with a few good deals...
...then it's likely you'll do the rest of your shopping for the week at their store rather than Jewel. It's probably a very delicate play, this balance between giving the customer some low prices and coming out ahead, but it's probably almost a science by now, at least parts of it.

31. no, that's not it at all
it was the timing. it was intentional. we have enough fighting to do with the right wing. do we need to intentionally pick fights among ourselves?

32. I see
Timing meat is very important. Nothing worse than an overcooked steak or an undercooked veal chop.

Thank you for the clarification.

Timing, they say, is all.

33. That cat in your signature, probably really likes meat.
Matter of fact, probably more than it would like beer. Though one of my dad's cats likes the smell of really dark beer, and you have to keep your bottle with you or else she will start sniffing the top of the bottle and trying to lick it.

They broke up because your dad's cat liked fish better than beef, and my cat's a carnivore.

That's when my cat began drinking..............
