What's the best way to get rid of a fever? |
|
Before Advil ..102 After Advil 100.5 two hours later tylenol after tylenol 100
Can you just leave a fourteen year old to go to bed the rest of the night with a 100 after all that medication... could still spike right? Or do I give a sponge bath to bring it down under 100?
Any tricks under anyone's sleeve would be great to hear right now.
TIA

1. Leave it alone -- check later tonight |

100 is not that high. Remember, fever's serve a purpose. If it spikes, try another Tylenol.

I usually follow my body cues. Cold compress? Warm? Dark? Light? (yes that helps) shower? Bath? Hungry? Your body will tell you.

DUers are not qualified to give medical advice and it's against DU rules.
If you are concerned about your child's fever, it's best you call a medical professional. Thank you.
