Didn't think people would defend Winslow, though I guess I succeeded in making Miami fans feel even worse about their loss today.

Did you even see the play... The refs fucked that one up big time...The TN player clearly ripped Winlow's helmet off and Winslow got penalized because they said he took his own helmey off... It was pure Bullshit...
BTW SGR2...How's that Clarett Lawsuit going at OSU?
How about worrying about your own fucking thugs!

5. But he was also penalized for taunting a player |

Edited on Sat Nov-08-03 08:09 PM by VermontDem2004
Who was on the ground after a block, then he says "It's war," Winslow said. "They're out there to kill you, so I'm out there to kill them. We don't care about anybody but this U. They're going after my legs. I'm going to come right back at them. I'm a ... soldier." I think he is one hell of a tight end but he does have an attitude problem. Btw I didn't know filing lawsuits was considered "thuggish"

6. Actually, Clarett dropped that lawsuit |
|
And he made a lot of stupid mistakes. Hopefully he can pass some classes and play another season at OSU, or somewhere else...
too be honest, Clarett is just a dumb kid. Winslow on the other hand, is an over-rated blabber mouth.

He has 51 catches for 527 which is more then any tight end in college football plus he is also a great blocking tight end, if you watched the game then you would've seen that block he put on two people on the same time but I didn't like the fact he taunted the player. But anyways attitude problems? Yes. An amazing recieving tight-end? Yes.

8. True, he's good.... but he's not god |
|
And God is what he thinks he is, as you can tell... he annoys the living hell out of me. I used to be annoyed by the same taunting and trash-talk behavior OSU had under John Cooper, thankfully, that kind of behavior isn't accepted now.

Besides Clarett had a legitimate lawsuit against the school because the accusations came from a mentaly derainged teaching aide. It was thrown out BTW.

10. What Kellen Winslow said was in no way as bad as when |
|
the OSU linebacker chocked the Wisconsin QB when he was on the ground. He should've been suspended more then one game.

He was suspended for his Senior Year homecoming game, OSU lost, and he personally called both the Quarterback of Wisconsin AND the Head Coach of Wisconsin to apologize. Both of them accepted his apology, and said 1 game was fine with them.

What he did was at least 5x worse then what Kellen Winslow said. It doesn't matter if OSU won or lost, what he did was bad but I am glad he apologized but he should've been suspended for more then one game.

He said Miami's thugs make OSU's thugs look like JV or something like that and I was stating that what the OSU linebacker did was worse then what Winslow said. You obviously care about him complaining but you say "WHO CARES" when an OSU player chokes a Wisconsin quarterback. I know who you are biased towards.

22. What about all the Miami criminal activity? |
|
That's what I'm talking about. Ohio State players didn't show up at a elegant diner in army fatiges and say "did the Japanese have diner with the Navy before bombed Pearl Harbor? No, so let's get out of here." What Rob Reynolds did is what happens in piles at football games. I've been punched, gouged, grabed, pinched and spit on in piles. I've done the same as well though in piles. I once twisted the opposing teams quarterbacks neck in a pile once. The players on both teams can tell you that stuff happens even choking. It's just Rob Reynolds got caught is all.

26. The only one I know who was involved in criminal activity was Clarett |
|
Of course Rob Reynolds got caught, there are about 8 cameras looking in at a different angle and it would be impossible not to miss it. It doesn't happen as often as you stated, otherwise one of the cameras would catch it and I see what happens on the ground all the time, the player tackles the other player and gets up.

3. I didn't mind that comment |

But this bothered me a little bit "It's war," Winslow said. "They're out there to kill you, so I'm out there to kill them. We don't care about anybody but this U. They're going after my legs. I'm going to come right back at them. I'm a ... soldier."
He is not a soldier and he is not out in war, I seen a video clip of this interview and he was pissed.

He blasted Limbaugh over his comments and said he sometimes listened to his radio show to keep up with "the enemy" or something like that. I like his dad, but his son is a different story.

27. It's a needless metaphor |
|
It in some ways is like war. There's strategy, planning, training, force and physical intimadation. Yet in all reality though it's nothing like war. In football you're pretty sure that everyone that walks on that field is coming off alive. In war you're some are not.
