1. Although I suppose I'm really in need of solitude
We always say we're going to take a relaxing vacation, but always seem to choose one on which we're dashing about madly.

2. A little of everything
I like to have manic "doing/seeing stuff" days and then take it easy.

3. oh yeah. We can't just go to the beach, we go to the beach
that is near the reef so we can go on snorkeling trips every day.

we can't just go to the mountains, we go to the mountains where there are two narrow guage railroads, and a national park nearby so we can go do those things.

Even when we visit family, we usually end up working in a trip to Mammoth Cave.

We are vacationing in Wyoming this fall, but will we just relax, enjoy the cool weather and read? NAHHHHH

we will: raft the Shoshone, wander around Yellowstone for a couple or 3 days, haul up to Bozeman MT to a dinosaur museum and/or visit Thermopolis which claims to have the world's largest hot spring (based on volume of water displaced daily or something).

We will probably do some museum time at the Cody Museum of the West, too. Never a dull moment on our vacations.

I am the bum from hell at home, but take me to a new place and I want to go do EVERYTHING!!!!!

Next year we hope to get back to Mexico and see/do everything we can do in the area we choose in as little time as possible.

7. Two weeks in Amsterdam.
Museums, and relaxation in coffeehouses with a book and a pipe. :) Best of both worlds (no third option for me, since I'm currently single.)

10. Solitude
I'm a confirmed Loner, so before I met Mrs. E I would take all my road trips alone and be "alone in a crowd", so to speak. I did what I wanted when I wanted and I loved it. Thank Bukowski Mrs. E is like me so we pretty much mesh on what we want to do on our trips..

15. I voted for the SO time. I have kids though and no one to watch them.
I haven't been alone with my wife without the kids for a single night for eleven years.

They're great kids, and I had many wonderful years alone before we became parents, but man, I'd love just a few nights alone with her.

16. A mix
I want to have a good amount of things to do/places to go, but I also want to have some relaxation time. I don't want to come back from vacation drained.

19. Me:
I have such a busy, stressful life that for me the last thing I want to do on vacation is follow some strict itinerary and drive myself wacky going from place to place trying to see a zillion things.

I vote for lovin', wine, good food, and relaxation. :D

20. Just the right mix of adventure and relatation.
I don't like to have all my time filled up on a vacation. I like to do a lot half the time, and spend every other day taking it easy.

The week after next, I am going to Isla Mujeres for 3 days, and that will be mostly relaxing on the beach and snorkeling.

21. I like a mixture of all. I don't like to go, go, go, but I
do like to go see and have fun. I love lovey time with my husband, and I want relaxation time. My husband and I are so laid-back that we usually wake up and figure out what to do. We don't really plan, we just go with the flow!

22. Lolling on a beach in Puhket or Vung Tau,
watching the ocean, with an icy Stoli martini in one hand, a Cohiba in my phiz and a lovely and intelligent young lady next to me.

Dream on.......
