Just watched Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly dancing together
and Judy Garland rapping to the beat of 25 boy tap dancers....

Yea, baby...

And there wasn't any cut cut cut cut cut cut, snarl at the camera cut cut cut cut cut....

All in one shot.....

They use to know how to make a movie......

4. It was lovely to watch people actually dancing instead of
strutting around looking like they were practicing aerobic moves....

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

10. Sounds like a Mel Brooks movie!
Throw out your hands
Stick out your tush
Hands on your hips
Give 'em a push
You'll be surprised
You're doing the French Mistake!
Voila!

Buddy: Cut! Wrong!!
Just watch me. It's so simple, you sissy Marys!
Give me the playback!
And watch me, faggots.
Dancers: Yessssssssssssssssss!
Buddy: Sounds like steam escaping.

8. Speaking of Gene...
Have you seen the VW commercial that has Gene Kelly dancing to an more "current" version of "Singing in the Rain"? Simply amazing.

I assume they're using a modern, similarly-built dancer and superimposing Gene's face, but it's really seamless!

Ah, here it is:

Oh, and here's another version:
