and after I post, then thread dies altogether. I took this very personal for a long time cause it happened a lot - it was like "well, if she's going to join in, I'm outta here". ha Just like in high school when you couldn't join the popular people. We ALL have fragile egos.

you need to start threads not just answer one - I haven't started any by the way - feel like I should be a donor befor I do.

When you respond to someone who posted earlier don't you sometimes feel like you are jumping to the front of the line? Maybe people joining the thread are responding to you? So many mysteries so little time :)

I usually get a few replys when Im the OP. My record was I started an official post #2 or 3 when * was making a press conference or when something was going on in the Congress on CSPAN. Something like over 150 posts. Happened a few times.

I watch the mouse hand click this button, and sometimes a trepidation
over flaming threads, and at the same time an acceptance that any fear
is only mine ego, and not the truth.

I do find, that the more lucid and well written a post, the less likely
it is to get a reply. Replies seem to come from conversational posts,
ones were ideas are unclear and people argue, question and flame for
reasons of their own.

I click my posts every time i log in to DU, and sometimes don't bother
kicking threads that deserve to sink. Its all a question of ontology,
and whether some ideas are worthy of promotion. Ontology that we
create truth by our choices of what to kick, is the editors talisman,
granted in small share to lowly DU serfs like myself.
