My temp job might want to extend my contract! |
|
I have been so busy that I have not even been around, but today, I spoke to the local director of the non-profit that I am temping for this month, and she asked me to bring her my resume because she loves what I am doing and is looking for someone to hire permanently!

I believe you're in the Chicago area, right? It's a tight market for nonprofits now, so I will most definitely have SEVERAL fingers crossed for ya! :)

5. It is actually in Evanston... |

But what is a little time on the EL! It involves a nice check every couple of weeks, and that is what I am seeking after all of these months!
I am temping this month because they are bringing out a housing and energy program for low-income families. It is hectic, stressful, hard work, but I love it! I am dealing with people from all countries and all walks of life, and it just reminds me of why I am a progressive and involved in social justice issues. :)
