Have you ever been in a bar fight?
Watching all of these Dukes of Hazzard reruns on CMT, makes me wonder what a bar fight would be like.

1. too many, and long ago...
and there is a fact of life that any bar fighter will tell you...

no matter if you win or lose, you still hurt real bad in the morning.

2. yes
I was a bouncer in a country music bar in the NC mtns. The best one was when David Allen Coe came to the bar for a concert. One of the guys in his band got into a fight with someone from the audience, it was classic.

4. no, but I've been mugged downtown in the middle of the day
It was a brief but unpleasant experience.

I've seen fights in bars before, though...Nothing like on TV...they usually end quickly.

6. My ex-husband made it quite a regular event.
Beer muscles. Prick. Had to bail his POS ass outta jail several times... and many trips to emergency room. Glass beer bottles ripping flesh and shit-kickers to the face are a couple things that TV leaves out.

During a Monday Night Football game a Friend and I "Waltzed" around a bar in downtown Minneapolis with an out of hand Bears Fan by the time the bouncers got to us we had knocked over every hightop table in the place and were entangled in a scrum on the floor.
They threw the Bears fan out , told us to finish our drinks , go finish him off outside and told us which direction he went. My friend was game but I'd had enough.I needed to find a TV, It was only half time and the Vikings were up.

I'm a lover not a fighter but sometimes things(used to) get out of hand.

And I have never seen a dramatized version which came close to the depravity and fierce desperation which one can create.

Ugly, ugly situation.

14. Just once
A buddy and I got jumped leaving the Frontier Room in Seattle by a small group of jocks that we'd been barking back and forth with earlier that night.

Got messed up pretty good actually, broke a couple ribs.
