I just cut off 18 inches of hair

Here are the before pictures from last month's Bay Area Meetup that I meant to post and never got around to. I'm the pink-haired chick on the far right, though you can't really see how long my hair is in these shots (it was down to my waist when not curly):





And here's me after (the first pic looks like I'm wall-eyed or something because my glasses aren't on straight...one ear's higher, apparently):



I'm freaking out, but I think I kind of like it. I can't decide whether this was a good idea or whether I've done something really, really stupid. I may wake up crying tomorrow.

My partner made some comments about my hair being "fried" from all the color processing I do, and I couldn't stop obsessing about it, so I decided to chop it all off. He doesn't know yet. We'll see what he thinks tomorrow.

:) The stylist straightened the hell of it tonight, so if I ever want it to look like this again, I know I'll be in front of the mirror for hours. I'll probably just let it dry curly and see how it looks.

My conservative (in style) friend who went with me sighed and rolled her eyes when I said it would probably be pink by morning. She was so pleased to see my natural color for once. :D

I'm also considering a steel blue, but that takes more time and precision, so I'll probably go with pink for now.
